AFL Grand Final Winner Betting

You have until the 21st of March 2019 to place a bet on who you think is going to be the AFL grand final winner, but as the futures betting markets are now open, and as the odds available are higher than they ever will be right now on the teams that perform well between now and then you should be placing your bets early!

There is quite a bit of support coming in even months before the final Australian Rules Football game of the season for the Richmond Tigers, so it would appear they are the team many punters do think will be crowned the champions next year, and as far as the odds go, they are 4/1 right now.

It will however be over at the William Hill betting site that you are going to get offered those odds, along with those mentioned below, so make sure that is where you do place your bets, and use our links if you are not a customer yet to qualify for their sign up offer too.

At 6/1 the Collingwood Magpies are currently pencilled in as the second favourite, and I am certain they will be quite a number of their fans that are going to be making use of those odds, as let’s face it they are a team who certainly know how to play!

As for the team that is currently the third favourite to win, well that honour is currently bestowed upon the West Coast Eagles and if you do fancy their chances then by making use of the futures betting markets at William Hill, and ideally today, then you will be able to mop up odds of 13/2, which are fair odds for sure.

Don’t Forget You Can Also Bet Each-Way

There are of course going to be two teams that will make it right through to the AFL final, and by opting to instead of betting on one team to win the title, you choose to bet each-way, you will get paid out something as long as the team you select does make it through to the final.

There is something that you do need to look out for if and when you do decide to bet on any team to make it through to the AFL grand final, and that is different betting sites will have different each-way terms on offer to their customers.

As an each-way bet is a two part bet on which the first half of your bet will be placed on the team to win the grand final outright and the other part of your bet will cover the team to come in first or second place, then you need to find a bookie that give s you the highest percentage of the win odds on the second part of such a bet.

That is once again where William Hill do lead the betting industry, for they are offering you one half of the win odds to two places, so if you team doesn’t win but does make it through to the AFL grand final then you will still be paid out on the second part of your bet at one half of the win odds you took on your chosen team.

Therefore you are going to have plenty of teams that you can pick and choose from that do have some fairly high odds associated with them that may just be worth betting on, and teams that even if they do not win but get through to the grand final of the AFL in 2019 are still going to see you getting paid out some fairly high amounts of cash.

The Remainder of the Field

Let me now give you a complete insight into just what odds you can secure right now if you do indeed fancy placing a bet on any of the other teams that could win or make it through to the AFL grand final in 2019, and there are some teams I will be revealing you may just fancy backing too.

One 7/1 shot that does look booked for a high position on the leader board are the Melbourne Demons, and if they continue to play well then you can bet your bottom dollar those odds are going to get much shorter than they are now!

The odds jump up to 9/1 on the next team listed on the betting markets on this event at William Hill and for reference that team is the Essendon Bombers, and there are currently two teams on offer at odds of 12/1 either of which may interest you and those two teams are the Greater Western Sydney Giants and the Hawthorn Hawks.

The each-way sharks are sure to be mopping up the 14/1 odds that are currently available on both the Adelaide Crows and the Sydney Swans, but I do feel both teams are seriously going to have to up their game if they are to make is through to the grand final, so there are risks attached to betting on either of them right now!

You can get 16/1 on the Geelong Cats and some much higher odds of 25/1 on the Port Adelaide Power team and if you fancy bagging 28/1 on the North Melbourne Kangaroos then the sooner you place your AFL grand final winner bet at William Hill the sooner you will be able to get those odds, which could change at any time remember!

There are a few 50/1 shot and they are the Brisbane Lions, the Fremantle Dockers and also the Western Bulldogs, and as for the chances of the final few teams, well their odds do give you an indication of their chances of winning the title this year.

Those odds and teams are 100/1 on both the Carlton Blues and the St Kilda Saints and the complete  and rank outsiders to win are of course the Gold Coast Suns who are friendless in the betting markets at odds of a whopping 500/1!
