Greyhound racing is still big business, however the number of greyhound tracks in the UK has been declining for years now, but it is still good to see major events such as the Greyhound Cesarewitch still being run and tonight will see the heats of that event starting.
To get the best odds available, what you should be doing is picking out the greyhounds you think have the best chance of winning via the ante post betting markets and with that in mind below are the current odds available on some of the greyhounds that are expected to breeze through the heats and could go on to win.
Two greyhounds have been attracting bits and bobs of support on the early betting markets, and the first of them is the current favourite Slippy Maggie, who if getting a clear passage should be able to make its way right through to the final race, and the odds on offer are 9/4.
The only other greyhound that has had any significant amounts of cash being placed on it on the ante post betting markets is Stardom, and there is still time of you to back that greyhound to win the final at odds of 3/1, but those odds can and will start to drop at any time so do keep that in mind if you do fancy backing it.
Consider Having an Each-Way Punt
If any one of you out there does fancy backing any of the outsiders, and lets face it any of them could get through to the final, then be aware that the each-way betting terms can and will vary dependent on just where you place your each-way bets.
The best each-way terms currently on offer are at those bookies going one quarter of the win odds and paying out to three places and not two places.
Three Other Greyhounds That Could be in the Final
I think that having looked through the make up on this event and the greyhounds that are running it, the following three do have a fair and reasonable chance of making it through to the final, and any of them could actually go on to win that final race too.
I will however leave it up to you whether you do fancy taking a chance on the next three greyhounds in the betting rather than backing the first and second favourites named up above, but the first one that could be worth having a small bet on is Aayamza Breeze at 9/2.
The next greyhound that could blast through the heats and one that wouldn’t surprise too many people if it got a place in the final is Savana Winner and there is still more than enough value to be had by backing it at this fairly late stage in the betting for its odds are 5/1.
The only other greyhound that has attracted support on the ante post betting markets is Goldie’s Hotspur, but at odds of 6/1 you will be taking your chances if you do decide to have a few quid on it.
