The 1000 Guineas race will of course mark the start of the flat racing season in earnest, and even though it isn’t until May the 5th of this year that race will be run at 15:40, there are numerous betting sites offering you ante post odds on it.
You can back any horse to win that race right now or back them each-way, and when it comes to you getting some decent odds and each-way betting terms I would suggest betting with Quinnbet who are going one fifth the win odds to three places on their each-way betting terms.
The current favourite and one that many people it would seem are prepared to back right now is Just Wonderful, for the odds on that favourite are huge with everything consider at 10/1, and it could be a huge pay day for favourite backers if Just Wonderful does win.
However, having said that when you compare the form of that favourite to horses such as Skitter Scatter at 12/1, Fairyland at 14/1 and also Iridessa at 16/1, you will see that the second, third and fourth favourites do have a lot going for them include those high odds!
20/1 Shots A’ Plenty
As for the horses that could be worth backing, well it wouldn’t surprise too many people if one of the horses that are available at 20/1 on the ante post betting markets get backed quite heavily, however it is hard to try and work out just which one may be and just which one that has the chance of winning this race.
But there are four of them that you can pick and choose from and they are East, So Perfect, Pretty Pollyanna and Goddess, so at the very least make an effort to check out their form and then base your decision on whether you feel whether any of them are up to winning this race.
The Rest of the 1000 Guineas Field
As the day of the 1000 Guineas approaches, there will probably be plenty of pundits giving their own unique opinions as to just which horses they think will win that race, however there could be a chance than one of the more fancied runners as the day approaches could have started out on the ante post betting markets at high odds.
Therefore there are a few current outsiders that could be worth backing and they include the likes of Main Edition at 25/1 and any of the current 33/1 shots too who for reference are Antonia De Vega, Royal Intervention, Natalies Joy, Fleeting, Zagitova and Angel’s Hideaway.
There will of course also always be at the very least one rank outsider that very few punters fancy the chance so in any major trace such as this one and the horse that has the honour of being the least backed and least fancied one to win currently is La Pelosa but for those of you who do like backing rank outsiders its odds are decent at 50/1!
