As for the horse that currently holds the record for winning this race the most times, well there are two horses that have won it twice in total and they are Sonic Lady that won it back in 1986 and then in the following year 1987.
The other horse that has won this race twice is Soviet Song and the two years that horse won this race were 2004 and 2005.
One jockey that did manage to win this race a whopping seven times was Lester Piggott, but looking at the success that Ryan Moore has had so far in this race one has to ask whether Piggott’s record will be eaten sooner rather than later.
It was Waldorf Astor that was the owner that had the most winners in the Falmouth Stakes, and his horses won this race 4 times in total. One other fact about this race that you may be interest in is the trainer that has sent the most winning to the course and has had the most winners in this race and that trainer was Alec Taylor, Jr.
