This year’s Ladbrokes Novice Chase is on the 30th of November 2018 at 13:50 and having looked at the ante post odds, and the each-way betting terms on offer from BetFred, thanks to their temptingly high odds on each of the runners in that race, now is just the right time to place your bets on it.
I will shortly enlighten you on where the smart money is going on that race, however the each-way terms on offer at Ladbrokes are one fifth the win odds to two places, so do keep that mind if you are planning a few bets this coming Saturday.
As for the favourite to win the Novice Chase, that honour currently stands with Santini and at 2/1 I doubt any other runner in that race is going to dislodge it from its favourite position on any betting market.
There are a couple of horses however that has a decent chance of winning, or at the very least filling the second or third sports and they include the likes of La Bague Au Roi and also Lostintranslation who are both currently trading at the 7/2 mark, and having checked the form of those two horses I wouldn’t discount them from putting up a fine display of racing.
Bags Groove Easy to Back
There had been a little bit of support on the ante post betting markets at one point for Bags Groove however that support has somewhat dried up and the odds have levelled out and are now at 11/2.
There is a slight chance that the form of Spiritofthegames could improve enough for that horse to finish in a high position at the finishing post, however you will be taking chances if betting on it but for those of you that fancy doing so you can secure odds of 8/1 right now at Ladbrokes.
Outsiders to Win the Novice Chase
Let me now move onto giving you some ideas of the horses that are friendless in the ante post betting markets for the Novice Chase, and those include the likes of Le Breuil at 12/1 and Topofthegame at 14/1. But do keep in mind this is race for novices after all so a case could be made for any of the horses taking part in it!
You then have horses such as Secret Investor at 16/1 in the betting market along with Mr Big Shot and Talkischeap who may tempt a few of you out there to back them, not due to their respective form of course, but solely down to the simple fact that BetFred are offering odds of 20/1 on both of them!
It does not matter how bad the form of the rank outsider is on races of this nature, there are always going to be punters who are prepared to back them, and if that is something you fancy doing then you money needs to be on Vivas who at 66/1 is the least fancied horse in this race this year!
