You will probably have a good idea as to where you money will be going, if you do decide to place a bet on this year’s William Hill Sportsbook St Leger Stakes race, but you do of course have plenty of time to change your mind.
I say that as the race isn’t going to be run until 15:35 on the 15th of September 2018, and it is fair to say most punters re eyeing up the chances of the current favourites that being Kew Gardens who can be backed right now at seemingly huge odds of 7/2.
However, there is one horse that has caught my eye and that is Latrobe who along with the second joint favourite that being Wells Farhh Go is currently trading at or around the 8/1 mark at most betting sites.
Therefore if you have not yet made up your mind as to just which horse you will be backing in that race, then I would urge you to take a look at the form of Latrobe, for you will probably agree with me it has a very find and outstanding chance of winning this race for sure!
The Pentagon worth a Punt
If you are prepared to look outsider of the three horses right at the top of the betting markets and betting boards then there is plenty of value waiting to be mopped up, especially on horses such as The Pentagon who is currently up for grabs at odds of 10/1, and it would be no surprise at all if that horse did get up to win.
As for a few additional speculative punts if may be worth betting on the likes of Forever Together at 10/1 or horses such as Southern France, Rostropovich, Dee Ex Bee and also Lah Ti Dar who do appear to have something of a realistic chance of winning this very open race this year, and those horses are readily available at odds of 12/1 if you are interested.
St Leger Each-Way Betting
You are always going to have a much greater chance of getting at least something paid back out to you when betting on the St Leger, if you are prepared to place an each-way bet, and the usual one quarter the odds on the first placed finishers are what are being offered to you this year at most online and mobile betting sites.
As far as where the value does indeed lay for eahc0way backers, well who could be put off betting on the likes Delano Roosevelt at 14/1 and also Old Persian at 16/1 with those fair each-way terms on offer?
If you want to go for odds rather than the form of the horses you pick to win the St Leger then the likes of Sun Maiden at 20/1, Sevenna Star at 25/1 and Surya or Cypress at 33/1 are likely to be horses you could just end up backing, and will of course be rewarded heavily with some big pay-outs if those horses do go on to win the St Leger this year!
