Predictions for the Valero Texas Open

You may feel like sticking a pin in the list of golfers that will be lining up to take their respective chances of the 2019 running of the Valero Texas Open PGA Tour and betting on the one the pin lands in, for there are so many golfers taking part in it, any of them could end up winning it.

But when it comes to bagging the best value, I personally like the odds that are being offered by Betfred, and not only are their outright winner odds huge on all golfers taking part in that major golf tournament they are paying one fifth the win odds to seven places on each-way bets too.

Rickie Fowler is the current favourite to land the spoils and win this PGA Tour, however there isn’t what you could ever call a huge amount of confidence in him doing so and that is very clearly shown by his current outright winner odds which for reference are 10/1.

There is plenty of value though still waiting to be mopped up if you are quick and back the second favourite, for all things consider there is an excellent chance that Tony Finau could win this golf tournament and you will be laughing all the way to the bank if you secured the current 14/1 odds on him doing so.

Next Three Golfers in the Betting

Matt Kuchar at 16/1 is the current third favourite to win, and for those of you each-way sharks out there that do fancy having a financial interest in this golf tournament you should get your skates on and back him, as I doubt those odds are going to be around for very much longer.

All things considered there is always plenty of each-way value still waiting for those punters who do fancy betting on this event, and a couple of other golfers you should consider backing much more so each-way are Jordan Spieth at 20/1 and Billy Horschel at 22/1.

More Golfers Worth a Gander in the Betting Markets

It will be a risky business backing any of the other golfers to win this golf tournament, but always keep in  the back of your mind that any of them could go on to win it and the odds on offer right now are therefore worth taking fi you do fancy the chances of any other competitors in this event.

For example Sung-Jae Im, Jason Kokrak and Jim Furyk at 28/1 look fair bets and the same can also be said of the likes of both Lucas Glover and Byeong Hun An at 30/1, and I certainly wouldn’t put you off backing Abraham Ancer each-way if you think he is up to this task and his odds for reference are high at 33/1.

Jhonattan Vegas is readily available at odds of 35/1 but do keep in mind those odds are likely to drop as soon as the tournament begins in earnest and if he starts to play right up to his very best form, which is something that he may just go on to do of course.

Lucas Bjerregaard, Ryan Moore, Ryan Palmer, Si-Woo Kim, Graeme Mcdowell and Hao-Tong Li can all be backed right now at odds of 40/1 and they are the only other golfers that I feel will be worth taking an each-way punt on in the Valero Texas Open this year.
