It is always going to be something of a gamble if you make use of the early betting markets, however the best odds guarantees most of our featured betting sites have on offer do give you some protection on the odds drifting!
As this week sees the start of the long awaited Royal Ascot meeting, you are probably going to be looking at picking out a few horses to back, and below I will be giving you an insight into each of the races on day one of the Royal Ascot meeting and letting you know which horses are currently being back off course.
Take for example the Queen Anne Stakes a huge amount of money has appeared and has been bet on Rhododendron, so much so its odds have shrunk to just 11/4 forcing out Benbatl to second favourite, at some slightly better odds of 5/1!
The Coventry Stakes
The Coventry Stakes is a race you will probably bet on when at the course or when watching this meeting on TV and there is nothing to separate Sergei Prokofiev and Calyx in the betting markets and either horse could romp home.
If you do fancy having a bet on this race the best early prices I have so far come across are 2/a on the former and 5/2 on the latter, but as is always the case do come shopping around and compare the individual odds being offered to you at various different online and mobile betting sites.
Plenty of Day One Races and Betting Opportunities
Let me now run through each of the additional races at the Royal Ascot meeting this year as you are likely to find a horse that you will like the look off!
Starting with the St James Palace Stakes the smart money is currently going on Without Parole at 11/4 but there is the chance it could be outpaced by Romanised who is currently trading at odds of 5/1.
In the Kings Stand Stakes, there are two horses that could take the lead and remain there and they are Lady Aurelia at 2/1 and Battaash who can be had at slightly higher odds of 5/2, which horse will go off favourite though is anybody’s guess!
There is plenty of cash sloshing around in the Ascot Stakes early betting markets for Stratum who is 7/2 to win this race, but a horse I do fancy the chances of, and may be one worth betting each-way at least is Coeur De Lion at 7/1.
The last race of the day is the Wolferton Stakes and you may have to toss a coin to predict whether Laraaib at odds of around 11/2 or Mirage Dancer at 6/1 will be the one to pass the finishing post in first position.
