Sky Sport British Masters Golf Tournament Betting

It has been quite a while since I previewed the betting markets on a major upcoming UK golf tournament, however that is exactly what I will be doing today, for it will not be very long before the Sky Sports sponsored British Masters Golf Tournament will be starting.

One aspect of betting on the British Masters that you will of course be very eager to do, is to find a betting site that can be relied on to give you a set of odds that are up there with the highest in the betting industry, and as such below I will be quoting you the current set of odds attached to each golfer that William Hill are offering, and as you will see they are generous odds and odds worth taking for sure!

Before I do so, allow me to give you a little insight into the background and an overview of this major UK golf tournament, for it is an often overlooked one, but one that does take a special and highly talents type of golfer to win it.

It will be from the 11th to the 14th of October 2018 that the British Masters golf tournament will be taking place and it is sponsored by Sky Sports, the prize purse that players are playing for is huge at some €3,356,535.

The actual course that this tournament will be playing on is the Old Course at the Walton Heath Golf Club, and if you have ever player there you will know it can be a very challenging course to say the least!

Tommy Fleetwood This Year’s Favourite

You are of course always going to find one golfer that is at the top of his form and game, and this year as far as the current favourite goes to win the British Masters golf tournament, that honour if you can call it an honour goes to Tommy Fleetwood.

Now, what I would suggest you do is never take the first set of odds you see being offered to you on such an open golf tournament as this one, for if you are prepared to shop around and hunt down the highest odds available from a range of different betting sites you are bound to then get some excellent value, and that is what you will be doing if you choose to place your bets at William Hill.

For at the time of compiling this best betting guide they were offering odds of 10/1 on Tommy Fleetwood winning, and those odds are certainly worth taking and some of the highest I have seen being offered on him.

Also do be aware that whilst the current betting market is a futures one, as soon as the tournament begins, then it will switch over to a live in-play betting market and as such the odds are going to become much more volatile and will be bouncing around all over the place as more and more golfer then do start to get knocked out of the tournament.

So always do keep that in mind, and to secure the very best and highest odds place your bet much sooner rather than much later!

Each-Way Betting to Six Places!

One of the advantages of placing your bets at the betting sites mentioned up above is that not only are you going to be rewarded with some of the highest possible outright winner betting odds, but the terms associated with that betting sites each-way betting opportunities and each-way betting markets are going to be generous too.

In fact, by betting there right now as an each-way backer you are going to get paid out at one fifth the win odds and to six places, and as such you could be therefore prepared to place a bet on some of the golfers which some much higher odds available on them  and will get a fair sized winning pay-out when backing them each-way even if they do not win but get placed in one of the top six positions on the tournament leader board at the end of this tournamnt1

If you therefore want a few ideas of some of the slight outsiders to win this tournament and ones that do have some quite high odds associated and attached to them then one that does spring to mind is the talented Thorbjorn Olesen who is fairly easy to back right now to be honest at odds of 20/1!

Two golfers that I certainly wouldn’t underestimate the chances of this year are Matthew Fitzpatrick and Shane Lowry and if you do fancy backing either of them each-way then now would be an ideal time to do just that for they are on offer at some very tempting odds of 22/1!

One 25/1 shot that may be of interest typo some of you each-way backers out there is Lucas Bjerregaard, however having said that are 28/1 currently there is certainly some value to be had by backing golfers such as Chris Wood, Hao-Tong Li, Charl Schwartzel and also possibly Eddie Pepperell too!

Just keep in mind though that the higher the odds you find attached to any golfers taking part in this year’s British Masters golf tournament via the early and futures betting markets the much lower their chances will be of winning and also of course getting placed.

However, any golfer could win or get placed of course and as for a few 33/1 shots that may just be worth backing, they include the likes of Padraig Harrington, Ross Fisher, Andy Sullivan and also Matt Wallace too.

A few other golfers that are certain to attract a little bit of each-way support include the likes of Lee Westwood, Lucas Herbert, Ryan Fox and also Andrea Pavan all of whom can be backed quite easily at their current odds of 40/1.

If you want to place something of a speculative punt on this year’s British Masters golf tournament then there are a few 50/1 shots that could be worth backing in one way of another and they include Martin Kaymer, Jordan Smith and also Thomas Detry.
