As far as this year’s Boylesports Champion Chase goes, there are not that many runners taking part in that race, but with some hunting around you are still going to find some decent odds still available on the first and second favourites.
Just so you know though, it is at the Punchestown racecourse that race is being held at and the time of the race is 17:30 tomorrow afternoon so you have until the 30th of April 2019 to get your bets placed, so you do need to get a move on if you do want to bet on it!
Whilst you can of course back any horse running in that race to win, there are different each-way betting terms available dependent on just which bookie you bet are, with Betfair and Paddy Power offering one fifth of the win odds to three places instead of the standard one quarter of the odds to just two places!
If you do want to follow the smart money and back the favourite to win this race, that favourite as you are already probably more than aware is Min, but the odds are not want you would call overly generous unfortunately for the best odds I have spotted this morning have been 8/13, and several bookies are offering those odds by the way.
Un De Sceaux is the Second Favourite
If everything does go to plan in the Champion Chase then it is hard to see the favourite being upstaged, but racing wouldn’t be racing if there wasn’t a chance one of the other runners could pip that horse to the finishing line.
As for the next horse in the betting, well I do think it is very fair and true to say it would not be too much of a shock if it did manage to win this race, and as far as just which horse is currently installed as the second favourite that horse is Un De Sceaux at 11/4.
Take Your Pick of the Outsiders
The next horse in the betting is one that is bound to be the horse that will attract the most each-way support today and tomorrow, and that horse is Great Field for at odds of 7/1 right now the is plenty of value still be had by backing it each-way.
Moving onto the next three horses in the betting, well it’s safe to say their respective chance of winning or even getting placed in this race this year are tiny, but if you do fancy backing he likes of Castlegrace Paddy you will certainly be rewarded with some high odds and those odds are currently around the 20/1 mark.
As for whether either of the two outsiders are going to win this race, I doubt they will but those two horses are Hell’s Kitchen at 25/1 and Ordinary World at 40/1, but do shop around if you are going to be on either of them for I am sure you may find some bookies offering much higher odds on both of them.
