Lovingly referred to just at The Oaks, the annual Oaks Stakes race is one of many Group One races that all avid horse racing fans and punters are going to want to have a financial interest in, for the odds available on each runner can often be generous in value.
Much more so when savvy punters make use of the long term ante post betting markets that bookies are very eager to make live long in advance of this race actually taking place.
The Oaks Stakes is a range that is only open to 3 year old fillies and being a race held over a one mile four furlong and six yard course, it does take something of a horse that has stamina to win it.
Epsom is the racecourse that hosts this race each year and due to the nature of the race it is one that punters are often going to have very different options as to just which horse is going to win it each year, which does add another quite exciting dimension to their betting activities and viewing pleasure of the race itself.
Past Winners of the Oaks Stakes
In 2014 the winner of the Epson Oaks was Taghrooda ridden by Paul Hanagan and trained by John Gosden and then the following year in 2015 is was Qualify ridden by Colm O’Donoghue and trained by Aidan O’Brien that won with a recorded win time of 2:37.41.
