It is always good to see those sports personalities who have excelled in the past year being rewarded and acknowledged for their sporting prowess and one of the awards that many sports men and women love winning is of course the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
What you may however be blissfully unaware of is that you can actually place a bet on who you think is going to win that award each year, and as such please do read on for I will be letting you know the odds on offer over at William Hill on that particular betting market which is now live.
Many punters and fans of sport think that there are only going to be two people that the judges will be considering to win this award this year and the first sports personality than many people do think richly deserve to win is Geraint Thomas and his odds of doing just that are reasonable at 11/8.
However, as there are so many people that are truly obsessed with football many of them are backing Harry Kane to win this award this year and if you want to do the same over at the William Hill betting site they will give you odds on him winning of 5/2!
Other Sports Personalities to Consider
If you take the above two sports personalities out of the equation, then there are of course a fair number of other ones that could win this award this year and two that you may fancy having a small punt on are Dina Asher-Smith at 7/1 and also Alastair Cook whose odds of winning are currently 10/1.
It is of course going to be up to you whether you do indeed choose to place a bet on this betting market or not, but if you are thinking of doing so never forget that it could be the likes of either Lewis Hamilton at 16/1 and even Anthony Joshua at 20/1 that could win it!
Consider Backing an Outsider!
There is of course nothing stopping one of the outsiders being the one the judges feel are deserving of this award, and as such if you do not fancy the chances of any of the favourites listed up above then look further down the list of contenders to win this award at William Hill, for there is no doubting that is where the much bigger and better odds are to be found!
A snooker players such as Ronnie O’Sullivan could win of course and his odds of doing so are huge at 80/1, or how about backing Andy Murray at 100/1, if he does win and you have backed him at those odds you really will be in the money!
As for those who also have odds of 100/1 on offer on them at betting site such as William Hill, well you have plenty of rank outsiders to pick from and some of those 100/1 shots include the likes of Chris Froome, Darren Till, Dele Alli and also Harry Maguire too!
