Who Will be the Top Goalscorer in the Premier League?

What many punters do like about this stage of the Premier League season, is that they are always going to have a very good idea as to just which player has the very best chance of being crowned the top goalscorer, and therefore can place a well-judged bet on that player.

You are always going to have the option of picking out from a very large number of players in the Premier League to be the top goalscorer in the Premier League if you place such bets over at the Betfred sportsbook, and the player that is currently at the top of that betting market at that betting site is Sergio Aguero at odds of 11/8.

Whilst there is a very good chance that Aguero will be the top goalscorer this season, it isn’t beyond the realms of possibilities that another player could beat him to the title and rattle in more goals than him in the remaining matches of the season.

As for the player that is not far behind him in the betting market, well that second favourite is Mohamed Salah and his win odds are 11/4, and he does appear to be a value bet on that betting market, and once again it is Betfred that are offering those very appealing and tempting odds by the way.

Lower the Risk by Backing a Player Each-Way

If you do decide to bet with Betfred on this particular betting market, then you will also be offered the chance of picking out any number of players and instead of backing them to win the Premier League top goalscorer title outright you can back them each-way instead.

It’s true to say that there are three other players that have a reasonable chance of being crowned the top goalscorer and it may prove to be financially beneficial to back any of them each-way and get one third of the win odds for the top two goalscoring players, and those players are Harry Kane at 7/2, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at 6/1 and Sadio Mane who is a 10/1 shot.

Other Players in the Betting

I will now take a look at some other players that could, but in all likelihood will not be crowned the top goalscorer this season and one of those players is Raheem Sterling who odds are 22/1 at Betfred.

The odds do then start to jump quite noticeably on the other players that could, but are much more likely to not be the top goalscorer in the Premier League this season, and as such you can get 66/1 on the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Jamie Vardy or could take a chance that any of the three current 66/1 ones will win the title and those players are Romelu Lukaku, Raul Jimenez and Eden Hazard.

Backing a player to be the top goalscorer in the Premier League who is available at this stage of the season at odds of 100/1 is a risky bet for sure, but there may be a few of you out there that are attracted by those huge odds, and if so it is Callum Wilson, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, Son Heung-min along with Richarlison           who can be backed at those massive odds right now.
